Dana Farber itself is an amazing resource for those struggling with cancer and I got to witness it first hand during my time working there in a joint position with Brigham and Women's Hospital. I routinely walked between buildings past the indoor Jimmy Fund Center playground. Everyday, I saw small bald children playing together recovering from chemo. It broke my heart (still does just thinking about it) and that's why I'm participating in the Pan Mass Challenge. These kids and many others need our support and unfortunately it's quite costly to run everything.

I'm quite proud of our work there helping people with cancer discover what somatic mutations made up their specific cancer including in bringing new algorithms into the clinic to allow for new immunotherapy treatments through sequencing results.
