Greetings and thank you for visiting my rider page!
This year will be the 45th Pan Mass Challenge to raise money to find a cure for cancer and we are asking (again) for your support. We had a great ride last year and enjoyed riding during spme of the best weather in recent PMC memory! We are grateful for our health and ability to ride again in this year’s two-day 162-mile ride from Wellesley to Provincetown on August 3rd and 4th. The fight against cancer has not slowed down and funding for cancer research is needed now more than ever. We continue riding for this important cause and hope we can count on your continued generosity.
This will be my 15th, my Dad Al's 21st, and sister Bethany’s 6th PMC ride. With your help, the three of us raised $44,534 last year! Team Daisy/Summit Partners remains committed to raising as much money as possible for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/The Jimmy Fund. Last year our team raised $322,554, bringing our lifetime team total to $4,999,135. This year our team will surpass the $5 million mark and the event will surpass $1 BILLION! If you have ever wondered how you can participate in the fight against cancer, THIS IS IT! The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country, raising a record $72 million in 2023 alone and $972 million since 1980. This success is the result of a lot of people riding for, and caring about, finding a CURE.
Every year we add to the list of family and friends impacted by this devastating disease, so we pedal even harder. We ride on Team Daisy in honor of our friend and neighbor Daisy Locke. Daisy, now 29 years old, is alive today because of her pediatric cancer treatment. We ride with hope to find a cure so that no one must endure what Daisy and her family have been through and to honor those who have fought cancer, are fighting cancer, and those who have lost their lives to cancer. Our team continues to ride strong to honor the memory of our teammate and dear friends Joe Trustey and team captain Pete Locke. Continuing the tradition, Al will ride Joe’s bike again this year in his honor.
Every donation brings us closer by the mile and hope we can count on your support. Donating is easy and no amount is too small; please give what you can. Your donation is tax deductible and 100% of rider-raised revenue goes directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Please use the donation links on the left of this page or if you prefer to write a check, please write it to the PMC – Jimmy Fund and mail it to 12 Porter Street, Wenham, MA 01984.
With best wishes for your health and happiness,
Andrew
