Why I Ride ...
2024
I am so excited to be riding year 3! What an honnor it has been to assist in the fight to find a cure for cancer. As difficult as it can be to battle those hills on the Cape it is nothing compared to the battle I have seen friends and family members endure fighting cancer. I hope you will consider a donation to honor those you know who have fought or conitnue their battle with cancer.
2023
Here I go getting ready to ride my 2nd PMC. Someone asked me during that last greuling climb if I would be coming back for year 2. My answer was I don't see how you don't. My first PMC was the most incredible experience that was difficult to describie. I am so pleased to be riding with my team again and as part of the Patriots Platelet Pedalers. We ride to honor those who fight and those who we've lost. Hoping the money we raise brings us 1 step closer to finding a cure.
2022
On April 5th my father in law's battle with lung cancer ended. He fought so bravely. I now ride in his honor and in honor of all who fight bravely! We miss him terribly and were looking forward to having him there to watch me ride in person. I know his spirit will guide me through.
For the last few years I've watched friends and strangers ride in the Pan Mass Challenge. I've cheered them on from the sideline in awe of what they accomplished and what they did for an amazing cause. Each year is talk about joining. This is the year I have decided to start riding. I will ride to honor friends and family who we've lost to cancer. I will ride for friends and family who have fought and beaten cancer. This year I am riding especially to honor my father in law currently battling. I hope you will consider supporting my ride with a donation to the PMC to benefit the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Be on the lookout for more fundraising information.
