In honour of my grandfather, who lost his life to cancer and a close friend who was recently diagnosed, I am so excited to be riding in my first ever Pan-Mass Challenge this summer! Although I never had the chance to meet my grandfather, his story has always been a meaningful part of my family’s history — and a powerful reminder of why this cause matters so much. I’m proud to ride in his memory and to be riding with Team Next Gen!

The Pan-Mass Challenge is a bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country. Since its founding in 1980, PMC riders like me have raised more than $1 billion for lifesaving cancer research, treatment, and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, one of the nation’s top cancer care hospitals.

The funds I raise support the incredible work of the doctors, nurses, and scientists at Dana-Farber who are dedicated to finding better treatments — and ultimately a cure — for cancer.
