One of my favorite parts of PMC weekend is watching the riders and volunteers who are Living Proof gather for the annual toast and group photo. Each year, the number of people in the group grows, and is a clear reminder of what fundraising for cancer research can result in- more people with more years lived (take that cancer), more hope and more collective energy focused on making cancer a thing of the past.
This year, I'll ride again to support Dana-Farber and the amazing research that keeps those numbers growing year after year! I'll be riding for Theresa, friends and family who've weathered their own cancer diagnoses and treatment. I am in awe of your resilience, optimism and hope in the face of fear. I'll also be riding in memory of those friends we've lost. You are a reminder that there is still more work to do. The work to support more research for more treatments and cures, working towards the same goal- a world without cancer.
While I will leave the hard work of finding treatments and cures up to the scientists and researchers, I will do what I can- hop on my bike and raise money to keep the support and commitment to cancer research front and center!

The PMC is Dana-Farber’s largest single contributor, accounting for 66 percent of its Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue. The Jimmy Fund is comprised of community-based fundraising events and other programs that solely and directly benefit Dana-Farber. For the 18th consecutive year, 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar directly supports lifesaving cancer research, treatment, and care at Dana-Farber. The PMC’s philanthropic support has enabled Dana-Farber to make a substantive contribution to more than half of FDA-approved cancer drugs in the United States from 2018 to 2022, grow its clinical trials program into one of the nation’s largest, and build new world-class patient care facilities, significantly expanding the reach of the Institute.
