I recently registered to ride in the Pan-Mass Challenge for the 33rd time. That will have me training to ride almost 200 miles in August and raising money for reasearch and patient care at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund.

There are so many people I am riding for including some of you and some members of your families and your friends. Top of the list this year is 8 year old, Declan, the son of friends who has a rare brain tumor. The family is facing a few choices, non easy, as to future treatment. The other is my dear friend, Bill, who continues treatement for multiple myeloma and just got the news that he is in remission. Thanks to money donated to the PMC, 33 drugs have been developed to treat this disease and give hope that a full and healthy life will be lived.

Joining me on the ride is my dear friend, Larry, who is Living Proof, the PMC designation for those who have survived cancer. Larry is fine and was treated at the Dana-Farber.
