Dear friends,
In just a few weeks, I’ll be joining my husband and son on the Pan-Mass Challenge — a bike ride across Massachusetts to raise critical funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. I’m reaching out to ask for your support this year.
The PMC has raised more than $1 billion since 1980, and because its operating costs are fully underwritten, 100% of every dollar goes straight to research.
Our family has been riding together for more than 16 years, but this will be my third ride — and my most meaningful yet. It marks not only a milestone birthday but also a milestone in my own journey with cancer. In 2016, shortly after Sam graduated from college, I was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. Thanks to lifesaving research, my cancer was caught early and treated aggressively. I’ve now been off medication for four years and am grateful every single day for the incredible care I received.
This year, I’ll ride 80 miles on the first day of the PMC:
- With deep gratitude for Dana-Farber and their lifesaving research.
- In honor of my friend Robin, who beat breast cancer 17 years ago and now faces lymphoma with courage and her signature humor and optimism.
- In memory of my dear friend and colleague, Betsaida, whose strength inspired so many — and who left us far too soon.
This ride is personal. I’ve committed to raising $4,000 for the 2025 PMC, and every mile — and every donation — brings us closer to a cure for cancer.

Every dollar truly makes a difference.
Thank you so much for your support — and I hope to see you soon.
With gratitude,
Amy
