For the first 10 years of riding this event I was able to say that I was lucky that cancer had not had a direct impact on my immediate family. Over the next five years, my dad was suddenly taken by bone cancer and my wife and brother have fought their battles and fortunately, are doing well. That just shows you how suddenly cancer can change your life. In addition, too many of my friends, colleagues and extended family have been taken by this awful disease. Although great progress is being made, a great deal of additional work needs to be get done!

For those of you who have helped me raise over $90,000 over the past 21 years I can not thank you enough! I hope you share in the satisfaction that I feel from doing what I can for this worthy cause - you should, and I hope you are in position to support me once again this year.
