On August 3rd and 4th, I rode in my inaugural Pan Massachusetts Challenge (PMC) to raise funds for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The PMC is a 200-mile bike-a-thon founded in 1980 to raise money for lifesaving cancer research, treatment, and patient care. Since its inception, more than $1B has been raised to support the innovative work of doctors, nurses, and scientists in their search for cures for cancer and related diseases.
I dedicated my ride to my wife Debbie who passed away in October, 2024 from cancer (metatastic melanoma). Debbie was a patient at Dana Farber for over two years. Their care made it possible for my family to share very precious time together during those years.
