PMC 2021: Welcome to River Road Crusaders Against Cancer Pan Mass Challenge (PMC) profile page!
While our team of two is small in number we are large in spirit and dedication in raising funds for the PMC which donates 100% of rider-raised funds to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Our team comprises Jennie Thomas, celebrating her 22nd year of involvement with the PMC and Evan Jacobs, celebrating his 2nd year with the PMC. With COVID somewhat in the rearview mirror, we are happy we can ride and fundraise together this year.
We are especially dedicating this ride to the memory of Jennie’s mom and Evan’s Nana, Nancy Ann Thomas. In November 2018 she was diagnosed with colon cancer and underwent a successful surgery. Unfortunately, in 2020 her cancer returned. We miss her dearly, but know she is with us in spirit! We are thankful for the time we were able to spend with her through the summer months and for her wonderful caregivers. She was a real inspiration! We also continue to ride in honor of many others who have survived cancer, especially our sister-in-law/aunt, Sue Thomas.
River Road Crusaders Against Cancer will be riding the 50-mile round trip route that begins and ends in Wellesley, MA on Sunday, Aug. 8th.
We know that everyone has a story about or connection with cancer, and we hope that someday through all our efforts these stories will be a distant memory. We are involved with the PMC in honor of all those who are fighting cancer and in memory of those who lost the battle. Please help us to raise funds so that research and support for cancer and cancer patients can continue. PMC's gift each year to the Dana Farber represents 100 % of every rider-raised dollar so you can be assured that your contribution will be used for cancer research and care for cancer patients.
Here are the easy ways to donate: Simply click on any of the red donate buttons on our team or individual pages. If you prefer, you may send or give a check made out to the PMC to Jennie or Evan. Thank you for your support!
Best wishes,
Jennie and Evan
