This marks my FIFTEENTH year riding the PMC and we are BACK on the road from Sturbirge to P-Town!!! While there are many causes looking for funds right now, the fight against cancer needs your help now more than ever! The PMC provides 1/3 Dana Farber’s operating budget on an annual basis. These funds are essential for finding new and innovate treatments that will help so many in years to come.
I ride for my Dad, my Uncle, my Grandparents, my Father-in-Law, friends and loved ones who have lost their fight with cancer and for those still fighting to beat the disease. This year will mark 27 years since I lost my father to cancer. The disease is constantly changing and we have to BE vigilant in our fight. Too many new people enter this fight, my goal is that no one has to endure this battle again!
I look at my boys, and pray I never I have to have the conversation with them, that my parents had with me. I can't even imagine having one of my children look up at his mother and I and ask: Is Daddy going to die? I know those words came from lips when I was twelve. I despise this disease. It has taken too many loved ones. I pray no one's child has to ask this question, and that no parent has to worry that they may lose their precious child.
Every year I learn about more people who are fighting against this horrible disease. Several of my friends and colleagues are currently in the fight against cancer. I ride each year for my family and every other family who has been attacked by cancer. You can help us all find a CURE. Please consider supporting me in this incredible cause.
