I'm raising money for cancer research & treatment by riding my 10th Pan Mass Challenge this summer and am committed to raise at least $5,000. Please know that 100% of the funds I raise go directly to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund. I ride with a local team, Lick Cancer, that raised over a million dollars each year over the last two years. The team's 2010 pedal partner Charlotte O'Shea, and our 2012 partner Avalanna Routh, both died of atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumors (AT/RT), a rare pediatric brain tumor. They were each six years old when they died. We ride in their honor, and many of us are directing our funds to fight this particular disease. We keep in touch with the AT/RT research team, and they told us this: The bottom line is that ongoing support from Team Lick has enabled our achievements and is central to our ongoing work.
Team Lick Cancer and I will ride 192 miles from Sturbridge to Provincetown on August 3rd and 4th.
Cancer has affected my family, friends, and work community for many years now, and I'll bet you can say the same. Please help me in the fight against cancer by contributing any amount you can. If you'd rather donate by mail, please make out a check to The Jimmy Fund and send it to me at:
