Why I Ride ...
I am riding my eighth PMC this year. Team Powercure will ride 109.2 miles Saturday from
Sturbridge to Bourne and 77.1 miles Sunday from Bourne to Provincetown. I am counting on
your continued support of this event that helps lead the charge to beat cancer. One hundred
percent of the rider-raised revenue goes directly to the Jimmy Fund and the Dana Farber
Cancer lnstitute's tireless commitment to finding a cure. Eight years ago, I rode my first PMC in memory of Darby Stott who lost her courageous battle with breast cancer and in honor of
Madison Miller who was diagnosed in 2016 with stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma at the age of 15.
She has fought this disease twice and is currently cancer free. This year I ride in memory of
Darlene Luciano and John Morgan who recently lost their battles with cancer and in honor of
Elizabeth Sorrentino who is currently undergoing treatment. DFCI is making great strides in
cancer research, treatment and care, every dollar we raise towards that is bringing us closer to
a cure.
