Why I Ride the Pan-Mass Challenge
In 2025, I’ll be riding in my 7th Pan-Mass Challenge — and I’m proud to say that with your support, we’ve raised over $33,000 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This year, I’m aiming for another $6,000, and I hope you’ll join me in this mission.
The PMC isn’t a race. It’s about effort, dedication, and hope. It’s about thousands of riders and volunteers coming together to make a difference in the lives of people battling cancer. And it's about honoring those we've lost and uplifting those still fighting.
I ride because cancer has touched my life—and likely yours too. It’s taken aim at my late wife, my father, my sister, my aunt, and many dear friends. I ride for every family facing the fear and uncertainty of a diagnosis. For every child in treatment. For every parent holding on to hope. I ride because nearly 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer, and 1,670 people in the U.S. die from it every day.
The PMC is the most successful athletic fundraiser in the nation, having raised over $1 billion since 1980 — with 100% of rider-raised donations going directly to Dana-Farber. Every dollar funds cutting-edge research, patient care, and the breakthroughs that give people a fighting chance.
When I cross that finish line after 180 miles, I carry the names, memories, and hopes of so many with me.
Please consider donating. Your support brings us closer, mile by mile, to a world without cancer.
Let’s do this — together
