Post-PMC Update: August 7, 2017
****STOP!!***
If you are visiting here to donate, please do so at Debbie's page. Debbie has a bit more to go and, either way, it all goes to the same great cause.
The ride was good, marred by a crash on Saturday. I am going to send an update to all of our donors in the coming week.
The important bit is your contribution to this great cause. Thank you!!
Jeff

Last year, cancer touched close to home when our good friend and neighbor, John, died from complications of leukemia and multiple myeloma. Ground-breaking work done at Dana-Farber gave his doctors more treatment options than ever before, but there is still much more needed to improve cancer treatment.
Last year, Debbie and I rode the 2-day, 163-mile Wellesley-to-Provincetown ride. Because of your help, together we raised over $16,000, Team Kermit raised $375,000, and the PMC raised over $47 million for cancer research. Our motto was “Spice It Up.” Debbie made spices for our big donors.
This year, “It's Complicated.” I've started a new job in Chicago and Debbie is doing much more than her fair share holding down the fort at home. We can offer you a great, efficient event, our gratitude, and a terrific cause!
As with every year, Debbie and I are riding with Team Kermit. Steve, Ellen, Adam, and Jared Branfman, along with friends, formed Team Kermit after Jared was diagnosed with spinal and cranial tumors in 2003. Jared worked as a volunteer for the Pan Mass Challenge in 2004 and 2005 and was getting set to ride in 2006. Jared died September 27, 2005. He was 23 years old.
Kermit, one of Jared's favorite childhood characters, represents the ability people have to rise above the ordinary to achieve great results. Team Kermit is raising money for the Jared Branfman Sunflowers for Life Fund for Pediatric Brain and Spinal Cancer Research at the Jimmy Fund, which supports the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Consider a visit to Debbie's page. You can contribute to either one or both of us. Doesn't matter. It all goes to the same great cause.
Our friend John died from complications from leukemia and multiple myeloma. The research done at Dana-Farber is unlocking molecular similarities between different types of cancer. Team Kermit raised-funds have directly supported research that led to improved treatment for a wide variety of cancers.
Thank you for your generous support!
Jeff
