Why I Ride ...
On August 6th, I will ride 80 miles to support cancer care and research at the Dana Farber Institute in Boston through the Jimmy Fund.
The PMC ride is especially dear to me. My beloved grandmother Bubby Barb passed away too soon, four years ago, from melanoma, and one year ago my neighbor, friend and honorary aunt Concetta lost the battle to this horrible scourge. Other relatives and friends also have struggled with cancer.
I am riding alongside my father (himself a survivor), for the first time, to honor them and their memories and to help move forward progress to cure cancer.
