Since 2012, we've been inspired by Kevin Morrison’s battle and loss to cancer to partake in the Pan-Mass Challenge and its effort to someday eradicate cancer.
Kevin K-Mo Morrison was a hard working and fun loving 21 year old. From a very young age, Kevin’s values lied deeply within his family and friends. His lifelong interests included football, hockey, fishing, and going to the Cape. Kevin was best known for his jokes and love of having a good time with friends. In high school, Kevin was captain of the football team and assistant captain of the hockey team. He brought leadership, aggressiveness, and a team mentality to the field and ice. Kevin attended Endicott College for two years, where he also played football. After his sophomore year, he decided to switch gears and go to electrician school. Kevin was working as an electrician’s apprentice, a job he loved, for a short time before he became ill.
Kevin was diagnosed with cancer in February 2011. His illness was later diagnosed as peritoneal mesothelioma, a rare cancer that originates in the abdomen. Kevin was treated at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, where he maintained a fighting spirit and a positive attitude throughout his battle. In August 2011, Kevin lost his fight with cancer just a month shy of his 22nd birthday.
We are riding in honor and memory of Kevin. With us, we are bringing his spirit of having fun, being fit, and living life to the fullest. Today, not all battles with cancer end in triumph. It is our hope that through our fundraising efforts, and the efforts of thousands riding with us, we can make the fight against cancer a victory for all those diagnosed.
We hope we can count on your support
Every donation brings us closer by the mile.
