Why I Ride ...In honor of my wife Brenda Hopper
I am writing to let you know that I will be riding in the Pan Mass Challenge (PMC) this summer in order to raise awareness and funding support for brain cancer research in honor of my wife Brenda Hopper. Brenda has had 4 surgeries in her battle against Glioblastoma, in the last 20 months, including one clinical trial.
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
All funds raised will be directed towards Dr. David A. Reardon, M.D. laboratory and clinical research efforts, which currently focus on developing immunotherapy treatments to improve the outcome for patients with primary and metastatic brain cancer.
