Why I Ride ...
This is the 24th time I am riding the PMC.
I am excited to be continuing Team Ovarian Cancer this year. I was originally treated for ovarian cancer in 1995 at the Farber and received wonderful care. I have been riding the PMC every summer since 2000. All the funds I raise are directed toward research for ovarian cancer. Early detection will mean that 95% of women with ovarian cancer will survive rather than 5%.
This year, I did a training adventure riding point to point on the northern shore of Prince Edward Island with my good friend Carolyn. Now I am preparing for the ride from Wellesley to Bourne this August. I am especially looking forward to the Living Proof picture in Bourne where hundreds of cancer survivors gather to celebrate that we are living proof of the advances in cancer research that are being made at Dana Farber.
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
I am so grateful for my supporters over the years. Thank you so much!!!
