As I bike through Cape Cod training for my 9th Pan Mass Challenge, I think about how much scientific advancements have helped those who have been affected by cancer. The donations made through the Pan Mass Challenge are a crucial part of this quest for a cure.
This year, our Lungstrong team is riding in memory of Diane Legg, who was a true inspiration for us all. While living with NSCLC for over 20 years, Diane was a strong patient advocate and fundraiser for lung cancer research. Diane always said that anyone with lungs could get lung cancer. Through determination and scientific advancements, Diane was able to take part in the many life milestones and ride with our team until the summer of 2024. We miss her, and we will be thinking of her and all of our friends and family members who have faced cancer as we ride for a cure during the weekend of August 2nd and 3rd.
The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country, In 2024, we reached the $1B mark in donations that have been raised since 1980! This success is the result of a lot of people riding for, and caring about, a cure. And because every penny matters, 100 percent of your donation goes to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer research and treatment.
I ride to help bring hope to anyone impacted by the disease, and I've made a personal commitment to ride PMC 2025 and raise $10,000. Your support and donation can help me achieve this significant goal. Thank you so much for your donation!
