In honor of, Davey Hovey. Davey was a true competitor who exemplified his beloved Westminister School's motto, 'virtute et numine' - by grit and grace. It is with that mentality in mind that I'll be riding for Davey and everyone effected by glioblastoma

Davey was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, shortly after his 25th birthday. He bravely fought for 16 months through five brain surgeries, two clinical trials, two rounds of radiation, three rounds of chemo and countless seizures. Glioblastoma is not as widely-known or as common as many other types of cancer, therefore receives less funding and research attention. The median survival from diagnosis is about 14.6 months and two-year survival is 30%. Despite many decades of research, there have been very few advancements in the standard of care and minimal increase in survival time. 100% of the money we raise will be going directly to Dana Farber in the David Hovey - CRUS11TOUR Fund, to specifically fund Glioblastoma research by Davey's doctor, Dr. David Reardon.
