Why I Ride ...I am riding for Diane Legg whose strength and courage continue to amaze!
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure. In years past, I was the one cheering on the riders of Team LungStrong, some years bringing the kids along to meet up in P-Town at the end of the ride, and sometimes just following the ride from home. My husband Matt has been riding for 10 years and is still going strong. When Diane asked me to consider the virtual ride this year, I couldn't think of a reason to say no. She has been an inspiration while fighting stage 4 lung cancer for so many years. Now, she is part of a clinical trial and is doing well-her scans have remained stable. And like most people, I have others in my life who have battled cancer, including Matt's sister Patty and his aunt Roberta. My goal is to ride 75 miles on this year's virtual ride. We all have a part to play, however small. So won't you consider donating to my ride this year?
