Dear Friends -
On August 2nd and 3rd, I will be riding in my 8th Pan-Mass Challenge: 6,500+ cyclists and 4,000+ volunteers on the roads from Sturbridge to Provincetown, putting in the miles in the summer heat to raise funds for the groundbreaking research and treatments at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Because of generous corporate sponsorships, 100% of all rider-raised funds will go directly to Dana-Farber.
This will be my third year riding as part of Team Crank, and team organizers anticipate that the Warren Alpert Foundation will once again generously match all donations, up to $500,000. Practically speaking, this means that your generous donation will be doubled - how awesome is that!
I am dedicating this year's ride to multiple people: to Jaime, daughter of my good friend Joan, who passed away in the spring of 2023 to brain cancer; to friends Dave and Bret, who also succumbed to brain cancer; to Aline and Christine, who are both battling breast cancer, and to Jon, fighting cancer on many fronts. I also ride with a list of names of many people - please let me know if you'd like me to add the name of someone special to you. All funds raised this year will go to Dr. Patrick Wen's Brain Tumor Research Fund at Dana-Farber.
I am deeply grateful for your support over the past 7 years, and would appreciate your consideration this year, as well.
A heartfelt thanks in advance for supporting the 2025 Pan-Mass Challenge and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
