Each year, GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) sponsors an employee team of bicycle riders who participate in the Pan Mass Challenge (PMC), believing that the PMC-Jimmy Fund is a truly worthy cause. The 45th annual PMC, to be held on August 3rd and 4th is a two day endurance charity fundraising event in which over 6,000 participants will ride bicycles on various routes around Massachusetts.
There are countless charities that we can choose to support, but this is the charity that many at GZA have decided to focus their greatest efforts on. Cancer doesn’t skip over the people we care about. It has affected our colleagues, our families and our friends without discrimination. Who among us hasn’t either personally battled this disease, or supported a loved one through their fight? By supporting the PMC however, we believe that we are making a difference in this fight.
To date, the PMC has raised over $1 Billion for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, $75 Million in 2023 alone! This money has funded critical research; research that has made a difference in the lives of so many stricken with this terrible disease. And 100% of all rider raised donations goes straight to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. No other charity can claim this level of efficiency!
Your support is desperately needed, now more than ever. Just as cancer doesn’t discriminate, it also doesn’t take time off for a pandemic or a slow economy. It’s exactly this reason that your donation is needed as much as ever.
Your tax-deductible contribution will greatly help our team to meet its collective fundraising commitment, and will truly have an impact on the prognosis for cancer survival, as well as general quality of life for cancer patients young and old alike. One hundred percent of all money raised by Team GZA goes directly to the Jimmy Fund; all registration, training costs, and transportation and lodging costs associated with the event are paid for by the Team members.
