The Firths have always been blessed with good health -- “no family history” of cancer…no family history of anything. So when we were blindsided with not one but two cancer diagnoses in the summer of 2014, I felt like my world was falling apart. It was during this time of disbelief, fear and feeling helpless that I resolved to ride the Pan-Mass Challenge.

My fundraising goal will be challenging to meet. However I am driven by my sister’s success story, and by my dad’s example of focus, discipline and aiming high. I am also extremely grateful to be working with a great group of friends... I am excited about our journey, and I know we will have a “terrific” experience.

The Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) is an annual bike-a-thon that today raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country. Last year PMC surpassed one BILLION dollars for adult and pediatric cancer care and research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and donates 100% of every rider-raised dollar directly to the cause.
