Why I Ride ...
This year I’ll be participating in my 10th PMC ride in honor of my mother, who lost her battle to cancer when I was a teenager. The PMC will also be reaching a significant milestone this year: over $1 billion in cumulative funds raised for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. This is an incredible achievement and a testament to hard work and commitment of the PMC.
Similar to the past five years, this summer I will be riding as part of a team - Ted’s Unicorns. Ted was our neighbor for 14 years and easily earned the distinction of “best neighbor ever.” Ted was always there when you needed him, showing up with his wonderful smile and big heart. I will be riding on PMC weekend to honor his memory and raise money for pancreatic cancer research and treatment.
One thing that hasn't changed: the importance of the PMC mission. Every mile and every dollar counts, which is why I continue to ride the PMC, an organization that donates 100% of every dollar raised to Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
