THERE'S A LOT RIDING ON THIS!!!
Dear Family & Friends I pray this finds all you well and happy! I have decided to ride the Pan Mass Challenge one more time in honor of two very dear women. I have dedicated rides in the past to Wayne Ross, Mike Catanio, Ivan Butterfield, Adrianna Scharr, and the many loved ones you have asked me to ride for. It has always been a extreme honor. Many years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer Leverette. She was the Vice President of one of the largest distributors of Oncology Products in the world , Oncology Supply. I found her wonderful demeanor and smile a welcome presence. We did some great things for Oncologist and worked together to make sure patients had access to all of Eisai’s products. Her husband, Dave, like her, would become my very good friend. Jennifer had a special way with people and had friends all over the country. She was diagnosed with breast cancer 5? years ago, and thought it was under control. Cancer is a mean competitor and Jennifer died at the age of 52, leaving behind Dave and their daughter Ava. I had the pleasure of meeting Cres Shutlz in our church in Ringwood NJ. She sang in the choir, loved to play the bells, and was a very active member of the church. Tina and I got to know her and her husband Karl much better when we won a week at the church auction to their awesome home in the outerbanks. I was just beginning to start cycling and I had heard the outer banks was a great place to train. We ended up loving all of the outer banks and visited this home at least 5 more times. Cres was so very generous, kind, and welcoming. Her and Karl were quite the couple. Cres passed last year of cancer, and like Jennifer, is so dearly missed. I will cycle in the Pan Mass Challenge one more time for these wonderful ladies. Every dollar that is donated goes to cancer research at Dana Farber. 6000 cyclist ride 110 miles the first day from Sturbridge Massachusetts to Bourne. The next day we ride 83 miles up Cape Cod and finish in Provincetown. It is quite the adventure. If you would like to donate, please use the link below. I will keep you updated as this journey unfolds.

Family & Friends, I ride for those who have been taken by cancer, like my father, grandmother, and so many good friends. I ride for those who on a daily basis, fight the good fight of defeating their cancer like my wife. Four years ago I had the honor of devoting the ride to a Wayne Ross a very close friend who was taken by cancer. He was one of the kindest, most positive, energetic people I have known. He was taken way too early as he was only 58.
Two years ago I devoted my ride to a very dear friend, Ivan Butterfield, who very courageously fought prostate cancer. His kindness, smile, thoughtfulness, and huge heart will never be forgotten. I also rode for the most beautiful person I know, my wife Tina. Her cancer returned two years ago and she bravely had it removed..
I said two years ago that the ride would be my last. The extreme training takes its toll on an old guy. When two very dear friends passed during Covid, I decided I would ride one last time. This year I ride for Adriann Scharr and Michael Catanio. Both were very generous donaters to this cause. Adrainna was our financial adviser, and more importantly, our dear friend. Her kindness, wonderful smile, and generous heart shall always be remebered. She was only 52. My dear friend Michael Catanio was an icon in the pharmaceutical industry, and won one of it highest life time acheivement awards. His energy, enthusiasm, hugs and smile, along with his passion to help others will not be forgotten. I am honored to ride one more time for these two unbelievable people.
The donations received for this ride makes a true difference in the lives of patient's and caregivers. The enthusiasm of those cheering mile after mile and neighborhood after neighborhood, is contagious. It gives me goose bumps to reminisce about these cheering people! This ride takes many hours of training. I personally want to enjoy the 110 miles the first day and the final 83 the next. With your financial help, I will be one step closer to my goal. I was greatly supported by many for the last four rides. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!! Let's ride again, and once again, make a positive impact for those that need our help!
