In 2023 my mom, or as our boys say, their Lulu, was diagnozed with late stage lung cancer (mesothelioma). Since that day she underwent massive surgeries, invasive and long treatments and even a clinical trial. She fought every single day for 14 months. She did not deserve this pain, nor does anyone in the world. My mom spent her whole life looking after my family, and wanted nothing more than to be a grandmother with her family in America. I ride to raise money so that one day no one will have to go through what she did, and to help take care of all the other moms and grandmothers out there so they can win their fights.
