The last text messages my dad and I exchanged happened to be about cycling. I had just finished a difficult 100-mile ride from Chatham to Provincetown and back. I sent some photos and wondered how people do rides like that on back-to-back days. My dad wrote back “with lots of practice”. So that, basically, is my plan. If training goes well, I hope to start at the New York border and ride 100 extra miles to the starting line in Sturbridge, making it a complete west-to-east ride across Massachusetts over 3 days to Provincetown.
