I’m riding my first PMC in memory of my father who passed away last year from pancreatic cancer.

I’m riding to make a difference.

Fittingly, the last text messages my dad and I exchanged were about cycling. I had just finished a difficult 100-mile ride from Chatham to Provincetown and back. I sent him photos and wondered how people do rides like that on back-to-back days. My dad wrote back: “With lots of practice.” So that’s my plan. If training goes well, I hope to start at the New York border and ride 100 extra miles to the starting line in Sturbridge, making it a complete west-to-east ride across Massachusetts over three days.

I’m proud to be riding as part of Team Kermit. Every dollar I raise will be directed to the Jared Branfman Sunflowers for Life Fund at Dana-Farber, dedicated to pediatric brain and spinal tumor research. Since 2005, Team Kermit has raised over $6.8 million. Last year, Team Kermit played a key role in the FDA approval of tovorafenib, giving kids with certain rare brain tumors another treatment option for better outcomes.
