We Are PMC - Now We Ride Dear Family and Friends, Next Saturday I am embarking upon my 15th Pan-Massachusetts Challenge ride. I ride the PMC for my dad. Six years ago, just weeks before the PMC, my dad was diagnosed with mesothelioma. He passed away from this terrible disease after a courageous 7 month fight. My family has seen first hand how incredible everyone is at Dana Farber – what truly stands out is the compassion, warmth and empathy they have for every single patient. I am proud to be dedicating my time and energy to the PMC which is focused on supporting a charity that is working on eradicating cancer. The PMC draws more than 5,000 cyclists, coming from 42 states and 12 countries. Now in its 43rd year, the PMC expects to raise over $70 million from the efforts put forth by PMC cyclists this weekend. To date, the PMC has donated more than $900 million to Dana-Farber which has been used to improve the lives of those suffering with cancer. 100% of your donation goes to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. I am so grateful to be able to contribute to the PMC’s mission. In order to participate in the PMC, I must raise $6,000 by September but I would like to raise more than $20,000! I am hoping you can consider supporting me in this challenge and the fight for a cure to cancer. Any donation you can give will be much appreciated - but please feel no obligation. You may go to my page on the PMC website by hitting the link below in order to donate. Or, you can write a tax-deductible check made payable to PMC/Jimmy Fund. I will be happy to pick up donations or you can mail any contribution you wish to me at our house in Wellesley (5 Squirrel Road, Wellesley, MA 02481). http://www.pmc.org/profile/SL0131 If you like, you can also donate to my PMC ride with one of the following links: Click here to make a $1,000 donation
