Why I Ride ...
12-years ago my father passed away from Colorectal Cancer and that’s when my two brothers and I started participating in the PMC to raise money for Cancer. He was diagnosed at 49 years old and passed away 3 years later after a long hard fight. After 11 years, almost 2,000 miles and 10 different team jerseys (including some pretty ugly ones) our team that started out as 6 riders is now 24 riders that have raised $1,700,000 for Cancer research. This year is a BIG year for us and we're looking to break our teams fundraising records!
I will be riding once again in the Pan Mass Challenge. This year will be 161 miles over two days with more than 6,000 riders. 100% of funds raised will go to support Dr. Kimmie Ng, who treated my late father at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. Dana Farber is a world leading research hospital that is working every day to get one step closer to making Cancer something of the past.
I am asking once again for your support in this incredible cause. The doctors and nurses who support patients every day in clinical trials need this funding not just for those families in treatment today, but to be ready for the next patient that needs to be two steps ahead of their Cancer diagnosis. This research allows us to do just that – stay ahead, be ready, and work to find a cure.
Thank you for your continued support, year in and year out!
