Dear Friends and Family,

Six years ago on July 1, 2019, I wrote my annual PMC fundraising letter while sitting in a multiple myeloma infusion room at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. My dad had just been diagnosed with cancer and was starting his treatments. Today, six years later, I’m writing my 2025 letter while in the very same room with my dad. Remarkably, his multiple myeloma is now undetectable thanks to monthly infusions of a drug that was developed by Dr. Paul Richardson and his amazing team in the research lab next door. As clinical director of Dana Farber’s Myeloma Center, Dr. Richardson's work has transformed how multiple myeloma and other cancers are treated, not just here but across the world. At a recent PMC event, one of Dr Richardson's patients said,

I thank God for everyday PMC riders, doctors, and discoverers. 11 years ago, I would've been given two years to live, but I was diagnosed six years ago. Somewhere between 11 years ago and six years ago, things shifted in my favor. New drugs were discovered, and I am so grateful to be able to be here to say thank you to everyone for keeping me alive.

When I sit here looking at my dad across the room with his medication dripping into his arm, I echo these sentiments. Thank God; I am so grateful! And this, my friends, is the power of our PMC fundraising,

As a longtime participant in the Pan Mass Challenge, I am writing once again to ask for your financial contributions. Can you help me meet my $11,000 fundraising goal? The PMC has always been personal to me. I began riding in 1998 when my mom was first diagnosed. And now, as I sit in the waiting room with my dad and other patients who are living with cancer, I have a renewed passion and commitment to the effort.
