Hello all and thank you for considering a donation to my 2025 PMC ride from Wellesley to Provincetown..!
I am riding in honor of many loved ones in my life, who have been affected by, and succumbed to the terrible disease known as cancer. Those that come to my immediate mind include the late mother of my wife, as well as my sister-in-laws mother. I am riding to raise money to continue the fight, in the world of research, to hopefully end this disease for good.
I imagine everyone can relate whether its a close loved one, a co-worker, or friend that has had to endure the grueling campaign of chemo therapy, surgical intervention, or other painful procedures in an effort to curb their symptoms, with the ultimate goal of being declared cancer free. With my current job, the rates of occupational-related cancer run significantly higher than other jobs, and this is an unfortunate statistic that will stick with me as I pedal well over one hundred miles. Thank you for considering a donation to myself / Team Fitz as we ride to hopefully kick cancer for good.
More on the PMC below:
Since its founding in 1980, PMC riders like me have raised more than $1 billion for lifesaving cancer research, treatment and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, one of the country's top cancer care hospitals. My PMC is making a difference in the lives of patients at Dana-Farber and around the world. The funds I raise support the innovative work of doctors, nurses, and scientists in their search for cures for cancers and related diseases.
100 percent of every dollar I raise goes directly to Dana-Farber, meaning that your donation has a real impact.
With love,
Steve
