Hi,
Last year was my first PMC in August of 2024 and it exceeded all of my expectations. It was joyful, hopeful and inspiring. It also brought me to tears on several occassions- fans clapping and thanking the riders for our support, photos of loved ones past and present including many children- all who have fought the fight that we all know as Cancer.
The commitment from the riders and the volunteers was nothing short of amazing. Everyone working and pedaling toward new treatments, immutherapies and new cures. The PMC is the single largest sporting fundraiser in the country with every single dollar to the development of new ways to prevent and treat cancers. Last year the fund surpassed $1Billion dollars raised! Simply incredible and all thanks to you- our glorious donors.
As many of you know, I lost my dear Dad to Colon Cancer- he was way too young...healthy, fit and an advid cyclist. I'm cycling in his honor and also in support of my wonderful sister-in-law (Sandra Cavallo, who is a cancer survivor) and for my dear friend (Lee Geishecker, cancer survivor)! This year our mighty little team has grown to include my brother (Phil Cavallo who also cycled last year, MA), my nephew (Alex Stolarz, NJ) and my partner in life and all things crazy and sports related (Ken Krys, Cayman Islands).
Please join us in supporting this amazing cause as Cancer has touched each and every one of us in one way or another. Let's imagine together a world without this disease!
Thank you for caring and thank you for donating!
From the bottom of my heart,
Stefanie
