This year, cancer has taken someone special from our lives. Carole Worsh was a mother, sister, friend, mentor, and confidant. In my ninth year, I honor her, with fondness, sadness, and in rememberance of the smiles and laughter she brought whereever she went. I will miss you.
I admit, I first joined the PMC because first I love to ride and second it was a good cause. Over the years, I've reprioritized those facts and, this year in particular, have a new-found conviction to the cause. I'm once again honored to join the other riders, along with the amazing support and kind help from volunteers, donors, and of course family. We have all been touched at some point in our lives by Cancer, either through friends, family or even ourselves. I will be riding in memory of those who didn't win the fight and in honor of those who are winning or have just begun the battle. Please join me and help make a difference for those we love.
As I did last year, I'll be riding 125 miles in one day and need to raise a minimum of $3000. But I would love to break $5000 and am asking for your help in achieving this goal. Don't donate for me, donate for anyone you know who has ever been affected by cancer. Any contribution you can make toward my ride would be most gratefully appreciated. Donations are tax deductible. Check if your employer has a matching gift program; it's an easy way to double your contribution and helps me attain my goal even faster! Get the form from HR and follow the process for matches. I would need a copy of the form or the receipt so it would be credited towards my goal.
If there is someone special to you that you would like me to ride in honor/memory of, please let me know and I'll be happy to include their name on my profile page.
