This year on August 3 and 4, I will ride my 29th Pan Mass Challenge, which raises money for the Jimmy Fund/Dana Farber Cancer Institute. I have raised over $175,000 to support the groundbreaking cancer research done by DFCI - and I did it in partnership with you. I am so grateful for your support. This is also an exciting year for the PMC, which will break $1 billion in fundraising since its inception in 1980. I ride in memory of my mother, Maxine Wylen, my sister-in-law Marjorie and my dear friend Ellen. And like last year, I am riding in honor of my great-nephew Kedem Weisberg, who spent most of 2023 in treatment for a brain tumor. He’s doing well now, but this is going to be a long-haul. Feel free to join our family in praying and hoping for continued good health for this sweet 10 year old boy. 

I am looking forward to riding a traditional PMC route (Wellesley to Provincetown, 156 miles) for the first time since 2019. Riding “reimagined” routes since Covid was nice; I showered and slept at home. This year I’ll sleep in a dorm room at the Mass Maritime Academy and shower in a tent. Oy. David will return to his volunteer position at the lunch stop on Day One. Seeing him is always a highlight of the ride.
