My son Brooks and I are riding the Pan Mass Challenge for the first time. As an athletic 16 year old my son looked at the 186 mile route and said no problem! As a middle-aged dad clinging to any semblance of youth I said I'd better start training.

And fundraising.

For those who don't know the Pan Mass Challenge is the largest single fundraiser for the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 100% of rider-raised revenue goes directly to these charitable organizations, helping to research and deliver new treatments and cures for cancer.

Sadly most familes have very personal stories when it comes to cancer and ours is no different. But it's not all bad news. While my grandmother died of cancer, as well as my step-mother and father-in-law, my mother is a cancer survivor and my wife's aunt is living her life while in treatment.

We are grateful to institutions like the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute who are on the leading edge of cancer research.
