Year Number Eleven!!
On the first weekend in August, I will join 6,500 cyclists in the PMC ride, an annual bike-a-thon that raises money for research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) in Boston.
The PMC is A gathering of a cult of angels a friend and fellow rider once told me, It is an amazing event where everbody involved has one goal. To eradicate Cancer. I am proud to be a small part.
This year I will be once again riding with Team Lexie, Lexie is an amazing 27 year old who was diagnosed as a 3 month old with a brain tumor. Please visit Team Lexies page to find out more about this resilient young woman. We are directing all donations to the Pediatric Lowgrade Astrocytoma Research Fund.
The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country - Over one billion dollars since 1980 and $75 million last year alone! This success is the result of a lot of people riding for and caring about a cure, and because every penny matters, 100 percent of your donation goes to DFCI.
Here’s another reason to support my PMC fundraising: With a donation of $50 or more, you can save 5% on any new or existing Massachusetts MAPFRE Insurance auto policy. Once you donate, just forward your receipt to your insurance provider who can take it from there.
I've made a personal commitment to ride and raise $11,000.00, so I hope you can help me achieve this significant goal.
