Dear Friends and Family,
I’m excited to be riding in my sixth PMC. Since my first ride, together, we have raised over $26,000. Thank you for being such an important part of this event and supporting me all these years.
I'm again joining the Arlington Angels and am thrilled to be with such a great group of riders. The team has raised over $850,000 and together we are riding for three young lives from Arlington who lost their battle to cancer way too early; Pat, Matt and Catherine. This year, we are hoping to reach a goal of $1.0 million raised.
I’m also prouder than ever to be part of the PMC community with such a great history of leadership in fighting to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure. There are many charities that find their way into our mailboxes and inboxes, few can stake that claim!
Every year we continue to hear the stories of all our family and friends who are stricken with this horrible illness. In my mind however, the number of survivorship stories seem to outweigh those of loss. As I train and then ride from Sturbridge on August 2nd and 3rd, I am thankful to have the ability to be part of this great organization and help continue the fight for a cure. As the PMC likes to say, we are “Closer by the Mile.”
Please join me in helping to fight this disease. Any contribution will help meet my personal goal of $6,000 this year, the team's goal of $1.0 million, and the PMC's larger goal of fighting cancer.
Be well,
Pete DiCarlo
