Why I Ride ...
The PMC is our family's way of giving hope to everyone who fights cancer by supporting Dana-Farber's lifesaving work. This year, we have 4 riders - Chet, Martin, Jay and me. The guys will ride the 2-day route from Sturbridge to Provincetown and I ride a Reimagined ride (since I work on PMC weekend). This past week, I rode my Reimagined PMC by cycling 163 miles over the week. We also have 6 family volunteers - Karen, Sarah, Peg, Ava, Melissa & Nate - who volunteer to help the PMC weekend run smoothly. Together, we have participated in the PMC for 113 years and always feel blessed to be a part of something so inspiring and powerful! We ride, volunteer and fundraise to honor everyone in our lives and beyond who is impacted by cancer. We are inspired by Evelyn (pictured with Chet), our Pedal Partner, whose bravery shows no bounds.
Please support our PMC fundraising. Our family is committed to raise at least $30,000 this year! One hundred percent of your donation will go to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The PMC is the single largest contributor to Dana-Farber's Jimmy Fund, raising more than 62 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue. Dana-Farber investigators played a substantial role in developing more than half of all cancer drugs approved by the FDA in the last five years.
Thank you for sponsoring me or any of my family members. We could not do it without you! Your donation brings us closer by the mile!
