This August, I'm biking across Massachusetts to raise money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's research for a cure for cancer. For those who don't know, Dana-Farber is THE institute for cancer research. My team, Team Kermit, has earmarked all of our funds to go towards finding a cure for pediatric brain and spinal tumors. To date, we have raised over $600,000 and the PMC ride has raised nearly $1 BILLION (!!!). As a father of two young boys, my heart breaks for the families and especially the children who are put through this ordeal, and I can't think of a better cause to support. My ride is to benefit those children and their families, and also to honor my mom, who fought and won a scary battle with Burkitt lymphoma this past year, and all of her friends and family who supported her through her darkest days.
