This year I decided to ride the Pan-Mass Challenge to honor a journey that began long before I ever clipped into a bike.
Growing up, I had the privilege of volunteering alongside my father Vinny every year to support The Pan-Mass Challenge. I was five the year my Dad got the call that someone was sick and couldn't drive the luggage truck. After that first year it became a tradition, a bond, a shared purpose. Over the years, the early mornings, long weekends, and people we met along the way, instilled in me a deep respect for this mission and the power of community.
I regret to say, the last time I was involved with the Pan-Mass Challenge was in 2019. Although I stepped away for a few years, I am grateful to be returning to this incredible event. Much has changed since the last time I rode alongside my father in one of the luggage trucks. Some good things, I graduated from college, got engaged, and some not so good things, my family and community suffered the loss of my Vinny, four members of my family have been diagnosed with cancer — a sobering reminder of how widespread and deeply personal this disease is. My return to the PMC carries both a renewed sense of purpose and a heavy heart. I'm riding for my family, my father, for all of those currently facing cancer, and for every family longing for a future free from this disease.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to that goal. I am deeply grateful and appreciateive for your support!
Below are some photos I caputred throughout the years.
