Dear friends and colleagues,
It is hard to believe but I am preparing for my 16th Pan-Mass Challenge! I will bike 87 miles from Wellesley to Bourne, MA on August 2nd, 2025.
Over the past 16 years I have raised over $70,000 to support research, early diagnosis, and treatment for gastrointestinal cancer and lung cancer as a member of Team Perry, Team 3G, and for the Dana-Farber Adolescent and Young Adult Program, respectively.
Like last year, I will ride to support Adolescents and Young Adults who have been diagnosed with cancer. All my funds will go directly to the Adolescent and Young Adult Program at Dana-Farber Cancer Research Center.
Through my professional work as a higher education administrator and educator, volunteer role as a College and Cancer Coach and presentations and publications for several Adolescent Young Adult organizations and conferences, I have been privileged to support young adults who are highly motivated to move forward with their lives. Cancer was the last thing that they ever expected. The attached LinkedIn post is an important example of how my professional work has provided me with opportunities to provide support to the AYA community through direct outreach and AYA conference presentations.
The Dana-Farber Young Adult Program provides programs, resources, and significant opportunities for young adults to connect and feel less alone and isolated. Young adults who have been diagnosed with cancer spend time in hospitals and don't see many others like them. Connection is significant. The Young Adult Program at Dana-Farber (YAP@DFCI) provides emotional support services, opportunities to meet other young adults receiving treatment, and educational programs aimed at enhancing knowledge and self-advocacy skills.
Please join me in fighting this insidious disease. 100% of Pan Mass Challenge funds to directly to Dana-Farber for research, early diagnosis, and treatment.
Thank you for your support! Your name on my list will help me to cross the finish line! No donation is too small.
With sincere gratitude,
