I am excited to be riding in my second PMC this upcoming summer! Over the course of two days, I will ride 161 miles in hopes that that will bring us closer to a cure. I am riding for those who are currently battling, and those who are no longer with us. My close friends, Kelsey Yarber and Hannah Cohen are both fighters and survivors. They are incredibly strong and courageous people and I am blessed to do this for them. Additionally I will be riding in memory of Mr. Quitadamo, Billy Snyder, and Mr. Wood all lost their battles to cancer. They left this world too soon and their memories will be with me every mile of my ride.
This past December, I lost my grandfather, my Popop to a long battle with cancer. He was initially diagnosed with bladder cancer, which eventually spread throughout his body and took his life. I am extremely grateful to ride this year in honor of the wonderful life that he lived. I will be riding alongside my brother, Mario. We have chosen to honor the life of my grandfather by taking on the PMC together.
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
This will be my second time riding the Pan Mass. I am excited to challenge myself physically to this ride for such an amazing cause. Cancer has impacted people in my life and participating in the PMC to support such an amazing cause is the least I could do. I am riding for those who can't and to help find a cure. I appreciate whatever support you can offer.
Mario and I will be hosting a fundraising event at Stats Bar & Grille in South Boston, on June 4th. The event starts @ 2:00 pm. We will have drinks, food, and raffle items. Some items include an autographed Bruins Jersey, Barry's Bootcamp gift card, and many more. Please consider purchasing raffle tickets here:
