Why I Ride ...
I will be riding my 17th PMC in loving memory of my brother Paul who died of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the age of twenty-seven in 1992. The strength and dignity he showed when faced with his diagnosis still inspires my family 33 years after his death. I will also be riding to memory of our dear Team Daisy leader, Peter, who succumbed to pancreatic cancer in January of 2024. Paul and Pete shared positive mindsets, and both had optimistic outlooks on life. When I think of my big brother and my dear friend, the memories of their too short but well lived lives, reminds me to embrace life’s simple joys and to continually have gratitude for each and every day.
Thank you for your consideration of this worthy event. The PMC is a powerful tool to help find a cure for cancer and bring hope to many people!
