Dear Friends and Family,
It must be summer because the Pan Mass Challenge is only 3 1/2 weeks away. The Pan Mass Challenge is one of those iconic events in New England. The challenge is two fold. The overall purpose of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute's Pan Mass Challenge is to raise money for cancer treatment and research. The other challenge is to cycle from Wellesley outside of Boston to Provincetown on the end of Cape Cod, a distance of 165 miles.
This disease has affected me personally, having been the cause of death of all four of my parents and Ellen's, and impacted numerous other family and friends.
Money donated to Dana Farber goes to both research and to patient care. It is especially hard for those afflicted with cancer to come to the hospital; getting needed treatment continues to be a frightening ordeal.
I hope you will do what you can to support my ride and the important work being done at Dana Farber. Last year with your generous support, I raised over $12,000 for Pan Mass and the research performed at Dana Farber. I again ask for your support at any level that is comfortable for you. Whether you can give $5, $50, $500 or more, every dollar helps and will be deeply appreciated. And while I know some of you have already contributed to PMC this year, please consider donating.
Please make your donation to support my ride and the PMC in one of two ways:
Use a credit card: the following link will take you to my Pan Mass Challenge personal fundraising page. http://pmc.org/MJ0119
Thanks so much for supporting my ride and contributing the fight against cancer.
Warmest Regards,
Michael
