This ride has been an important event to my family for years, with my mom, dad and sister riding for the past 16 years. This will be my first official ride in the PMC and I am honored to be a part of it, and a part of Team Deb. In recent years, this ride has become especially personal to me, as my brother in law, Will, was diagnosed with DSRCT in 2021.
Dana-Farber Cancer Insitute has provided treatment to him, and support to my sister and their beautiful baby girl since. Dana-Farber, largely due to funding from event such of the PMC, has provided patients like Will necessary treatment as well as resources to allow his/my family to live with graditude and hope for the future. I am riding the PMC for him, my sister, and my niece, so their family can have many years of happiness, so far less families will have experience the unimaginable loss that cancer brings. I will ride for all the loved ones lost to this terrible illness, including and especially Deb, my grandfather, and many more.
Please take a moment to search Team Deb's page to view her story and why we ride in her honor. She was an amazing person, wife, mother, and dear friend of my moms.
I'm a proud participant in the Pan-Mass Challenge - a bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country - to bring us Closer by the Mile to a cure for cancer.
100 percent of every dollar I raise goes directly to Dana-Farber. Please donate to my PMC fundraising and help me reach my fundraising goal!
Your donation, no matter how small or large, makes a impact in the lives of millions.
