My mom lost her battle with lung cancer in the summer of 2018 after being diagnosed 2013 and given months to live. My sons were one and three-years-old at the time. My mom had no underlying health conditions and was therefore cleared to begin a long road of clinical trials. These trials extended her life far longer than anyone could have predicted. When my mom passed away, my boys were six and nine, and knew their Mema well.

If it were not for the kinds of breakthrough medications and treatments the PMC helps to fund, my boys would have grown up having never known who their grandmother was.

100% of every dollar raised goes directly to the Dana Farbor Cancer Institute and specifically for research and care in thoracic oncology. I will be riding on PMC weekend with my teammates to help continue the fight against cancer. Taking part in the PMC with Team Stuie is my way of doing something to give other families the gift of time with their loved ones.
