I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
This is my nineth year involved in the PMC and I fundraise in honor and memory of two great friends and colleagues - Beth Parker and Sandeep Dhiman - both PwC colleagues who lost their battles to cancer way too early in their lives.
Beth was an AMAZING person - you met her once and your life was instantly changed for the better. I met her in September 2015, as we worked closely on a project at PwC, but feel I knew her my whole life. Beth instantly gave you a nickname and made you feel like you were the most important person in the room. She was extremely humble and very passionate, and always made everyone feel included instantly. I lost a great friend and the world lost a legend. Beth leaves behind a beloved wife and son.
Sandeep was a young man I met in April of 2015 while doing a global leadership program. You would never have known he was battling cancer, with his smile, determination, and strength he embodied a man living life to the fullest. When we partnered on a ropes course one day he was the cheerleader you wanted in your corner - inspiring you to reach just one step further. Thanks to him we both completed the whole course and he had that amazing smile every step of the way.
Lets raise some funds to destroy cancer and honor two beloved parents who lost theirs battles way too early.
Thank you for considering giving to this great cause.
