I Ride in Honor of my Brother & all Firefighters Impacted by Occupatioanl Cancer
Thank you for your support and for checking out my 2025 PMC Team Boston Fire fundraising page!
This is my fifth year riding in the PMC, and I will complete the two-day, nearly 200-mile bike ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown in August 2025. I'm honored and humbled to be a part of such a fantastic endeavor and team.
Like many others, this ride and worthy effort are personal to me. I'm riding in honor and on behalf of my brother, Boston Fire Department Lieutenant Glenn Preston, and all the Boston Firefighters (& their families) affected by occupational cancer. For anyone who does not know, my brother Glenn has been in a multi-year battle with occupational cancer and the after-effects of the treatments. So, I have seen first the toll that occupational cancer takes and the fantastic work that the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute does.
Please see the below links that tell Glenn's story and the fantastic efforts made by Dana-Farber & the Jimmy Fund.

We, as 'Team Boston Fire' ride in honor of all those currently fighting occupational cancer to beat/prevent future cases and, perhaps most importantly, in memory of all those who have died in the line of duty from occupational-related incidents. Unfortunately, far too many Boston Firefighters and firefighters from around the United States have been impacted by occupational cancer.
Through my and the PMC Boston Fire Ridding Team's efforts, 100% of all money raised will go directly to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and into a restricted fund specifically for firefighters and occupational cancer. Therefore, any donation of any amount will certainly go to this great cause.
I'm humbled to be a part of this project, and I know the nearly 200 miles we ride this summer over two days will be nothing compared to what these brave men and women endure.
Thank you for your gracious support.
